About us
We believe....

…. that every word of the Bible is inspired and without error...that Jesus Christ is the only
begotten Son of God and the only Savior of mankind...that the Genesis account of creation
and Noah's flood accurately describes events in human history...that man is a rebellious
sinner, living under the wrath of God, and headed for destruction...that man must be
spiritually reborn. This occurs when one trusts Jesus Christ as Savior....that the Lord Jesus
is coming soon to rapture his church and later to establish his glorious kingdom on earth.

Brother Gibbs & Mrs. Gibbs seated in middle with their
children and their spouses and grandchildren around.
Carl Gibbs grew up in the Western New York area and is
thankful for the consistent Godly example that his parents
showed him. Although he accepted the Lord as his Savior
when he was about 5 years old, much of his spiritual growth
came during his teen years as he went to camp and was
involved in his youth group.
Educational background: Word of Life Bible Institute where he
received a diploma in Bible, Tennessee Temple College where
he received his B.S. in secondary education, and Pensacola
Christian College where he received an M.S. in educational
administration. He has served at Panama City Christian School
and Central Baptist Church, Maranatha Christian School,
Northside Christian Academy, and Heritage Academy. After
attending Word of Life Bible institute and Tennessee Temple
College, he was a teacher and administrator in the Christian
School ministry for 31 years.
Before his last year of college the Lord allowed him to marry
his "high school sweetheart" in 1977. They have four children:
Silas is working as an electrical engineer and serves as a
deacon in his church, Caleb is married to Charity and they are
missionary appointees with ABWE, currently serving Jamaica
and the Caribbean.., Joel is married to Andrea ~ they are living
and working in western Ohio., and Hannah is a graduate
student at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
Brother Gibbs began serving at Evangel Baptist Church during
the summer of 2009. His role as Associate Pastor is a diverse
one which allows him to minister to many age groups within the
church.
